Updates about the Congress
Change of Venue:
As you all know by now, the venue has been moved to Citystate Tower Hotel Manila located at the corner of A. Mabini St. and Padre Faura St. within walking distance from the original venue. If you need assistance, you can drop by at the College of Public Health which is next to the College of Medicine, the original venue, and one of our staff will take you to the hotel.
Program:
The final program is attached for your reference. You will also have a hard copy of this in the souvenir program including a miniature one inserted in your ID card.
Poster:
Poster presentations have been grouped according to topics. Please refer to the attached list. Each poster is given a number to indicate the panel board where the poster should be attached. Please make sure your posters are provided with holes at the corners where strings could be inserted to keep the poster in place. Otherwise, adhesives can be used to attach them to the panel boards. Please seek assistance from the staff if you need any.
Registration:
Official registration of participants will be on the fifth floor. There will be specific counters to accommodate participants who have previously registered and have paid, those who have registered but have not paid and walk – in participants. The former will be required to just present their identification cards to the staff in the specific counter to obtain their conference kits. Members of the organizing committee will be around to assist participants.
Welcome Dinner:
The welcome dinner will start at 6:30. A program featuring Filipino songs and dances will be presented. Participants are encouraged to share their culture through songs and dances too. There will be ballroom dancing and videoke singing for those who are interested.
PowerPoint Presentations:
For those of you who have not submitted your powerpoint presentations, please make sure you turn them over to members of the technical staff after you have registered on May 15. There will be a designated preview room in the hotel where you can check your presentations.
Publication of the Congress Proceedings:
The local journal of the university, Acta Medica Philipina, has agreed to publish the proceedings of the fifth congress in a special issue. May we therefore request you to submit a three-page write up of your presentation whether oral or poster? Only two figures are allowed.
During the congress:
